ADMISSIONS PROCEDURE
We will hold an Open Afternoon on Monday 6 January 2025 from 1.00 - 2.30 pm for parents interested in applying for a place for their child starting in September 2025. Please see the short video on the website - 'A day in the life of our nursery' plus our School Prospectus which will hopefully be of some help to you. If you have any specific queries please feel free to contact the school by phone on 028 92671516 or email: [email protected] and we will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
The school's admissions number is 78 and is divided into three classes of 26 children; one full time class and 2 part time classes. The times of the sessions are as follows:
Full Time class - 9.00 am - 1.30 pm each day
Part Time (Morning) class - 8.45 - 11.15 am each day
Part Time (Afternoon) class - 12.00 - 2.30 pm each day
Applications for admission are made online in January at www.eani.org.uk/admissions for admission in the following September.
Parents are required to register first and then complete and submit their application. Please read carefully the admissions criteria of the schools you are considering applying to and then list them in order of your preference on the application. As Lisburn schools have been oversubscribed in the past number of years we would strongly recommend that you list at least 4 schools on your application.
Pond Park Nursery School offers both full time and part time places - please note that if you wish to be considered for all sessions offered by us you must list us TWICE, as 2 separate choices (full time and part time, in order of your preference)
If you are listing Pond Park Nursery School as your first preference school(s) please note that we require the following supporting documents to be uploaded:
Child's birth certificate
Benefit Verification (MUST be uploaded by the stated deadline if applying under this criterion)
Two proof of address documents to verify the child's residential address: ie Utility bill (gas/electricity/broadband etc), Bank statement or Mortgage/rent statement, Land & Property Services rate demand, addressed payslip. The documents can be addressed to either or both parents provided the address shown is the child's residential address.
Other schools may have different requirements - please check and upload any documents required by ANY of your preferred schools.
ADMISSIONS CRITERIA
In the event that there are more applications than places our admissions criteria will be applied in the order set down to select applicants.
This is published on the EA website when the applications process opens in January and parents can study this before applying for a place.
You can also view our Admissions Criteria on this website under a separate tab.
Please contact the school if you have any queries or require any assistance with the Admissions process.
